A Street Cat Named Bob

A Street Cat Named Bob Location

A warm film based on the real life events of James Bowen, and his book of the same name, a recovering drug addict and Busker in London who befriends a ginger street cat, Bob. We follow his highs and lows while Bob provides just what he needs to gather the crowds while Busking.

Much of the film takes in the real life locations in and around central London in the United Kingdom. Some of these busy quaint parts of London are hot tourist spots with so much to do while you're there.

Busking in Covent Garden Location

Covent Garden is a vibrant filming location for the film, specifically when we see James being abused by an onlooker in the corner of the Covent Garden Square.

Covent Garden is a wonder location where cafes and restaurants surround the central covered building with flame heaters keeping customers warm on winter nights and warmer summer evenings.

It is home to street entertainment from talented buskers that are usually set near the Apple store and street performers that take the make shift pavement stage outside the historic St. Paul Church; some of which have become world famous. These performances usually happen throughout the day and into the evening.

The Covent Garden underground station, which is a very short walk from the square, is one of London's deepest underground stations. Unlike many of the underground stations Covent Garden has lifts rather than escalators and the old spiral staircase for those brave and fit enough to attempt it.

Covent Garden is also home to the Royal Opera House, Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the London Transport Museum and if you fancy a London ale in a traditional London Pub with glossy brass trays on the bar, you'll have plenty of choice in the side streets just off the square. With this compact location you'll be spoilt for choice.

The location can be found by taking the underground tube train to Covent Garden, or if you wish to avoid the queues for the lifts, take the tube to Leicester Square which is a 5-10 minute walk. Have a map! London Black Cabs can also be hailed off the street to take you.
